Forbid Not to Speak in Tongues

Isaiah 28:9-12
9 Whom shall He teach knowledge? And whom shall He make to understand doctrine? Them that are weaned from the milk, and drawn from the breasts.
10 For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little:
11 For with stammering lips and another tongue will He speak to this people
12 To whom he said, this is the rest wherewhith ye may cause the weary to rest; and this is the refreshing: yet they would not hear.
What is the Lord telling us here through the prophet Isaiah? First of all He is saying that doctrine can only be understood by those who have an understanding of the foundation of the Gospel. What is the Gospel? Christ and Him Crucified! We as Christians must understand that EVERYTHING we receive from God comes to us through that finished work. We are only able to mature through our daily walk by faith in Christ Crucified. The Lord is also making a reference to tongues here. I hear many people asking “why speak in tongues” or “who cares” etc. Well here is your reason-for refreshing of your spirit and for rest. What frustrates me the most about Christians who truly love the Lord are those who are physically trying to please the Lord thinking that because of what they do it makes them Holy. Well when you got saved you were imputed Holiness and Righteousness because of what He did on the Cross! Your consecration doesn’t make you anything except consecrated!
We are spiritual! So why are you so focused on the physical?! I mean those things are all great and we should be consecrated, however we should all want to do spiritual things more than anything!
What are you cessationalists going to do when you get to heaven and you find out heaven is a little more pentecostal than you thought? Do you think that the Lord Jesus Christ set us free so we can turn around and be under strict rules and law again? Especially liturgy! How dare you put God into a box and claim that He changes!
In ICorinthians 14:39, Paul writes: Wherefore brethren, covet to prophesy, and forbid not to speak in tongues. If the Bible tells us to do that, then why go around forbidding people to speak in tongues, taking on actions similar to the nicolaitans by controlling the laiety with statements relating tongues to satan etc. I thought the Bible is the sole authority of scripture? One argument I heard from a cessationalist was that “tongues are for those that don’t believe!” Scripture says not to cast your pearls before swine lest they turn and trample them. Why would I sit here and speak in tongues in front of an unbeliever? They would think I was mad and laugh about it all the way home! It is just plain silly. I implore all those that do not believe in the Baptism with the Holy Spirit to seek and ask the Lord for that. He is faithful and knows how to give good gifts-believe me. I prayed for 6 months for my husband to receive this gift, and finally last month, He received it! Hallelujah! I hope I made a point here, however awful my attempt was.
